What is a standard "unit"?

I see people post 1 unit = 50 bucks and I understand that that's the indiviuals unit, but I also see guys just post 1 unit, 2 unit, etc. without telling you what his units are equivalent. Is the standard "unit" $100?

my 1 unit is 1 hundo... some are $50.. i think usually MIN 1 unit, is $50 for most people.

Unit bet is whatever you want it to be. If you are a $5 bettor...your unit is just that.

For some heavy hitter...unit could be $1000, $10,000 or more.

Gaming unit is usually $100 for most people....
